Motor Circuit Protectors (HMCP)
Eaton’s Motor Circuit Protectors are UL Recognized instantaneous-only breakers for motor short-circuit protection. When used in tested motor starter combinations they provide complete UL Listed motor control and protection and short-circuit current ratings up to 100,000A. Available in current ratings from 3A to 1200A for use with starters up to 900 HP.
Features
• Convenient dial adjustment allows the user to select from 8 different current levels for precise motor circuit protection.
• High short-circuit current ratings can be achieved without the need for fuses or additional limiters, reducing both space and spare parts requirements.
• Motor inrush trip suppressor allows the starting of high efficiency motors without sacrificing sensitive levels of short-circuit protection.
• Clears low-level faults (the most common type of fault in a motor circuit) more effectively than fuses, preventing faults from cascading and damaging equipment.
• Easily test without having to replace the device (unlike fusible devices) by depressing a push to trip mechanism on the cover.
